As a part of my Visual Communication class we had a choice for our assignments and one was to design a poster for 'Design Against Fur' an international competition run by the Fur Alliance. The brief was to design a poster 'targeting' 18 - 30 year old women with a disposable income. We had to place the words 'fashion victims' somewhere into the design. I decided to take a shot at all the 'celebs' and rich folk who carry their pooches around in their handbags but I didn't want to be too literal and aim at anyone inparticular so I remained metaphorical.

I wanted to use humour more than the blood and guts that everyone else pumps out year after year in their designs and I thought it to be a little overdone in that regard. Besides what kind of pampered rich girl is going to look at a blood and guts poster? Warm people to your ideals don't attack with verocity or you will never get anywhere, right?

The text at the bottom of the poster was a brief run down on what happens to dogs in some countries where the practise of fur farming occurs.
